It's 5 to 12

Today the cat got stuck under the house . After much "miowing" I freed her by lifting the trap door. It is dark and lonely down there and there is no food. She was soooooo affectionate to me after I freed her, so grateful to be back inside and in a pleasant place.

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works." Matthew 16:24-27.

February Fair

"It is very good to copy what one sees; it is much better to draw what you can't see anymore but in your memory. It is a transformation in which imagination and memory work together. You only reproduce what struck you, that is to say the necessary. That way, your memories and your fantasy are freed from the tyranny of nature." Edgar Degas

"He shall cover you with His feathers,And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler." Psalm 91:4

The Quiet Place

"There is only one sin - lack of love. Be brave, be capable of loving, even if love seems a terrible and treacherous thing. Find joy in love. Find joy in victory. Follow the dictates of your heart." The Valkyries, Paulo Coelho.
Ecclesiastes 11vs9-10: "Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity."

Ecclesiastes Ch. 7 vs16-18: "Do not be overly righteous, Nor be overly wise; Why should you destroy yourself? Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish: Why should you die before your time? Matthew 15vs33-38: "Then His disciples said to Him, "Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to fill such a great multitude?" Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few little fish." So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left. Now those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children."

L'ufficio Postale

Today Davina and I drove up to Beechworth , she didn't have to work today. It was a beautiful warm summer's morning and the air was fresh and the countryside was beautiful. We left at 9.00am but it was really 8.00am because of daylight saving. This is a sketch of the Beechworth Post Office.
