Ukrainian grandmother Angela Artyomova, 97, fell from her fourth-floor flat
in Rivne while cleaning a window, but managed to grab an air-conditioning
unit attached to the wall. She clung on for half-an-hour, 11 metres up, before
firemen rescued her and she suffered only shock from the ordeal.

We should never forget
that six million Jewish people
were killed by the Nazi's

under the leadership of
Adolf Hitler

This man I have painted was interviewed
by "The Age" newspaper.
He says "I have to show you
what can happen if you are
ignorant,
if you follow a fanatic."

Now the Lord had said unto Abram,
"Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred,
and from thy father's house, unto
a land that I will show thee."

Pascal's Place in Paris

"He laughed softly to himself as he wrote.
This sense of secrecy was something he had to cultivate
in order to overcome a natural openness and a quick temper.
At the age of ten or eleven his artless enthusiasm
and outraged sense of right and wrong
had made him the despair of his teachers, but he had
slowly learned to breathe and keep calm,
not to trust in his responses, but to wait and be watchful."
Excerpt from the novel "Birdsong" by Sebastian Faulks.

"He shall not be afraid of evil tidings :
his heart is fixed , trusting in the Lord."
Psalm 112:7
