Bury thy Sorrow

I thought I would post this song
tonight as I will be away and
will not have access to a computer
to post up a picture this week.
This song, taken from an old hymn
book "Sacred Songs and Solos" compiled and
sung by Ira D. Sankey, was a blessing to me
during a time of suffering in my life.
Maybe it will help someone else.
You can enlarge it by clicking on it.

Psalm 118:8-9
"It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes."

Metzy's on her Mobile

Metzy's on her mobile
yes she whiles away the hours,
always talking
never walking
doesn't believe in exercise.

Monnie is a different girl
loves to walk
not much talk
agile and serene
life is good it seems.

Metzy's health well it appears
is coming apart it's all arrears
aches and pains
and a tummy spare
much to her despair.

Monnie though is all aglow
for she walks to and fro.
She keeps active
and looks attractive
and at night, she sleeps tight.

Metzy however, well
her skin like leather,
lying in the sun
and all too, often.
She parties at night
she's not so bright
and she's always so tired
her boss nearly fired her!

When Monnie turns sixty
she'll no doubt look fifty
her bones well and strong
yes, my dears.
For she eats her fruit and vegetables
yes, her life impeccable.

But Metzy I fear may not be so agile
her scooter transporting her body, fragile!
Her take- away diet has caught up with her,
and she is still so tired
oh, when will she realize
she must exercise!

Jacinta (don't we all need to do more exercise)

Hello I'm Ms Mea L'ook
and I'm on Facebook.
I'm up with the times
it's not such a crime.

I'm up to 10'000 friends
and messages I send
yes for all to see
for I'm on Facebook hehe.

My photos are all there
Paris, Amsterdam and yeah,
I just go everywhere!
I'm just so there.

I like to spend time
viewing others online;
checking, inspecting,
comparing with mine.
I spend so much time
for on facebook I shine.

My aunt is sick
but I'm too busy for
the old stick.
My cousin is lonely
but a visit will only
take me away from my look on F-book.

My friend is in prison
no time to visit then,
and I wish I could help
at the local op shop
but alas I'm too busy
online I must hop.

My life is so full
so much connection,
i'ts all about me
and my obsession,
because when online
that's when I shine!

2 Timothy 3:1-5:
"But know this, that in the
last days perilous times will come:

For men will be lovers of themselves,
lovers of money, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy,

unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without
self-control, brutal, despisers of good,

traitors, headstrong, haughty,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

having a form of godliness but denying its power.
And from such people turn away!"

Swine Flu.

Swine Flu

Cleopatra has the flu
for the newspapers
say it is true.
Oh, she will read
and then believe.

The media you see
is her god to be:
follow and believe
all it foresees.

Oh media , you guide
you forecast, you decide
you instill fear
and dear, oh dear
many worship you I fear.

Oh media you crucify
the innocent bye and bye.
You slander the just
and outrage the gentle,
however many worship
in your temple.

Celebrity Cleopatra is she
the media have made her you see
Oh she is famous
and adored
but soon forgotten and then ignored.

Oh media you malign the churches
and the Christians yes you hurt us
and side with the enemies of Israel
yes you print your seedy tale.
Is there no end to your slander
or to your propaganda.

Oh media, tell your lies
sell your rags
do your dashes
but you will see
it will all backfire
in the end
you shall be like Cleopatra.

Psalm 91:1-6
"He who dwells in the secret
place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow
of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is
my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust."

Surely He shall deliver you
from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;

His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the
terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday."

Madeleine's House

"Madeleine is in a pickle,
she tried to do good
but got into trouble.

she tried to explain
her passion for justice
just bringing her pain.

all she could see
was the wisdom to be...
Yes, just to be...

When attacked, she keeps silent
it's the best
you shall see
for her friends
she thought were,
weren't really indeed.

Poor Madeleine,
she shall forgive,
for she knows
she must live
and happy to be
she will indeed."

"But different feelings kept him silent; he was as yet afraid of differing from his son-in-law- he was anxious beyond measure to avoid even a semblance of rupture with any of his order, and was painfully fearful of having to come to an open quarrel with any person on any subject."
Excerpt from "The Warden" by Anthony Trollope

Coco packs her suitcase.

Coco needs a holiday.
What shall she pack
in her suitcase?
Too many times
she has taken too much
and paid too much
for extra.

She has discovered
Travel light yes
this can be done.
A carry-on sized case
is all she needs,
and an indefinite time
she can go indeed.

Her case won't get lost
or mistreated and
pesty hands can't entreat it!
She can even jump on a train
and not be in a dither
a lighter case with her.

Arrival at the airport she can later
And if Coco's plane should
be delayed,
then she shall not be
dismayed for she has
all her things with her. is her guide
she has booked her hotels wise.
Oh the help of the internet
she gratefully accepts
And now with her carryon she can be
the first to leave the terminal please
Yes Coco this bliss is not amiss
when you travel with less my dearest.

Ms Spinella Spendthrift

Miss Spendthrift you are in debt.
You see temptation everywhere.
You never ask is this a need?
You just buy what you want.
The shops allure you,
your wardrobe too full.
Too many times do you eat out,
too many times out and about!
But a hobby my dear is a good idea.
And record your costs of what goes out
amazed you'll be you'll see!
You may even begin to save,
yes be amazed!
Poor you will no longer be
and indeed you shall even do a good deed!

"He has dispersed, he hath given
to the poor; his righteousness
endureth forever; his horn
shall be exalted with honor."
Psalm 112:9
